Brand, illustration and packaging design
The DGS BLX brand is fun, energetic and vibrant in its look, but the product itself is a repackaged and industry respected G-Techniq product.
The client wanted to diversify and appeal to a more youthful audience. They already had the product naming decided, so required fresh branding and packaging design based on topics close to their heart, namely Porsche's and their pet dog. The product is spray on ceramic coating which is already sold to high-end/trade customers.
The logo was based around the clients request to be similar to the Porsche crest, but use their family dog as the main icon. The colours are based upon Gulf Racing from the 1960s. The illustration is based on a print I designed for my Motive Culture brand.
The overall packaging look was based upon a 911 ducktail abstract design i'd already created as a poster for my Motive Culture business. It was modified to suit this purpose, but gave a unique and strong look to the overall product, that has high stand out value on shelf in retailers.
